About Us

Our Vision

To be a transformative community hub where individuals and families encounter God, mature in faith, and are empowered to overcome life’s challenges while serving and uplifting those in need.

Our Mission

We are called to make disciples rooted in Christ, fostering a family-centered environment that nurtures mature believers and equips overcomers to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus in our community. St. John Baptist Church is dedicated to being a beacon of hope, bringing faith, love, and justice to the forefront of our calling.

What We Believe

We believe in one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

• God the Father: The Creator of all things, sovereign over the universe, and deeply personal in His love for us.

• God the Son (Jesus Christ): Fully God and fully man, Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day (John 1:1, Matthew 1:23, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Through Him, we have salvation and eternal life.

• God the Holy Spirit: Active in the world today, convicting, guiding, and empowering believers to live holy and faithful lives (John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8). He dwells within every believer, equipping us for service and spiritual growth.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16). It is our ultimate guide for faith and daily living.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is a free gift from God, and all who confess and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior will receive eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).

We believe the Church is not just a building, but the people of God—those who have been called out, redeemed, and empowered to carry out His mission in the world. The Church exists in three key roles:

 • The Body of Christ – As believers, we are the hands and feet of Jesus, working together as one body to fulfill His purpose (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). Every member has a role, and we are called to serve, support, and strengthen one another in love.

 • The Bride of Christ – The Church is the beloved bride of Christ, set apart for Him and awaiting His return (Ephesians 5:25-27, Revelation 19:7-9). Our calling is to remain faithful, pure, and devoted to Him, reflecting His love to the world.

 • The Battler for Christ – The Church is engaged in spiritual warfare, standing firm against the forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:10-18). We are called to be bold in faith, equipped with the armor of God, and committed to advancing His Kingdom through prayer, evangelism, and acts of justice. As battlers, we have the responsibility to critique the dominant culture, articulate the voice of suffering, and work toward creative solutions to the Glory of God. We stand against oppression, injustice, and sin, proclaiming the truth of God’s Kingdom in love and righteousness.

As the Body, Bride, and Battler, the Church is commissioned to make disciples, preach the gospel, and bring God’s love and truth into every aspect of life. We are a community that worships, serves, and stands together in faith.

We believe in water baptism by immersion as an outward expression of an inward change. (Matthew 28:19). We also observe Holy Communion as a sacred remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

We believe that every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ and is called to serve in His Kingdom (1 Peter 2:9). We are all ministers of the Gospel, empowered by the Holy Spirit to pray, serve, and fulfill God’s purpose in the world.
